BRIEF HIS OF SHEIKH GIBRIMA ZULMA'ARIF

SHEIKH MUHAMMAD GIBRIMA
(ZULMA'ARIF).

Shaykh Gibrima was a Tijani Sufi
Veteran. He transcended to his greatest spiritual pedestal, with the hur'mat (sanctity) of Salat al Fat'hi which he sent upon the ruuh of the Prophet. Dan Nguru (Son/Native of Nguru), Sheikh Gibrima was referred to as Sahib al~Faatihi (Master of 'Salat' al~Faati'h). He was one of the Tijani bigwigs that pledged allegiance to Sheikh Ibrahim Niass, and attested to his Gawthiyya Pedestal and Faydah Grace.
SHAYKH IBRAHIM'S POEM ON SHEHU GIBRIMA He was referred to by Shaykh Ibrahim Niyaas in a poem as Dhul Ma'arif (Custodian of Gnosis/Divine Sagacity). The poem goes thus: #
ﻭ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﻏﺒﺮﻳﻢ ﺫﻱ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺎﺭﻑ
ﻭﺟﺪﺗﻪ ﺷﻬﻮﺓ ﻛﻞّ ﻋﺎﺭﻑ
 Transliteration : Wa Muhammad
Gibreema Dhii-l- Ma'arifin #
Wajadat'hu sha'wat Kullu Aarifin
Translation:
Muhammadu Gibreema is the
Custodian of Ma'arifa (Gnosis/Divine Wisdom) # I find him indeed
admirable to anyone who knows
God. Those are the words of
Baye Inyasss (RTA) ~ Sidi Musa Salihu Danlami Shaykh Dr. Awwal Baba Taofiq, in his book 'The Icon of Mystics:
Shaykh Ibrahim Niass Al~Kawlakhy'
stated that; In 1944, Shaykh Ibrahim Niass paid his second visit to Kano ...It was at this second visit that that Shaykh Mijinyawa, Shaykh Maihula, Shaykh Gibrima.....and host of others renewed their initiation from the Shaykh. AMONGST THE SCHOLARLY WORKS OF SHEIKH GIBRIMA Sheikh Mustapha Mubarak Ashile
of Ilero, Nigeria states thus: Shehu Gibrima was steadfast on Shaykh Nazifi's Tibbu~l~Faa'i (طب الفائح)
. Sheikh Gibrima wrote praye  books, most of which centres on Salat al Fathi which all contains Ismu~l~Azam, i.e. how to make efficacious prayers, e.g. Asking Allah in the morning and getting response before evening, etc. ~Sheikh Mustapha Mubarak

GIBRIMA'S TRANSCENDENCE BY
MEANS OF SALAT AL-FAATIHI By: Sayyidah Aisha Ahmad There are
many Awliyya(Saints) in this
tareeqah(spirit ual path) of ours,
all who were able to reach the desired maqaamaat (spiri ttual pedestals). They were all GREAT indeed. But MAULANA SAHIBUL FAIDHA (Sheikh Ibrahim Niass) was undoubtedly the KHALIFA OF SHEHU AHMADU TIJJANI (RTA) and the promised Faydah/ Divine Flood flowing from the Prophet through Shaykh Tijani. In extolling the virtues of Shaykh Gibrima, Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse said: "If it was that one's number of (recitation of) salatul nabiy was what would make one attain the
position (of Gausiyya/ Divine Succor), then SHEHU GIBIRIMA (RA) would have been the GAUSU
ZAMAN/SUCCOR OF THE AGE." But
SHEHU IBRAHIM is the occupier of the position. He is indeed the
Leader of all Saints, by the blessings of Shaykh Tijani. Shaykh
Ibrahim Niass stated thus in a
poem;

ﻭ ﻗﺪ ﺗﻢ ﻓﺘﺤﻲ ﻋﻨﺪ ﻣﻬﺪﻱ ﻭ ﻗﺪ ﻋﻨﺖ # ﺟﻤﻴﻊ ﺭﺟﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻐﻴﺐ ﺗﺤﺖ
ﻗﻀﺎﺀ
 Translation:
My saintship had been completed
when I was an INFANT, and the totality of Hidden Men of God were coerced to submit under my authority. He also said;
ﺇﺫ ﺃﻧﻨﻲ ﺧﻠﻴﻔﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﺠﺎﻧﻲ # ﻣﻮﻫﺒﺔ
ﻣﻦ ﺃﺣﻤﺪ ﺍﻟﻌﺪﻧﺎﻥ
Translation: I am Tijani's vicegerent. It's a favour from Ahmad (of the lineage) of Adnãn{prophet}. This spells out the fact that the Shaykh inherited the faedah/flood that flowed from the Prophet to Sheikh Tijaan. May Allah grant us the Baraka of
this Tariqa, Ameen!
